Why Did You Decide to Become a Dentist?
Ever since he was a kid, Dr. Marino always liked working on creative and challenging projects with his hands, such as working with his father in his woodworking shop or untangling his mother’s jewelry for her. When it came to pursuing his dream career, dentistry just seemed like a natural fit for his personality and passion. He also always had fantastic experiences at the dentist’s office growing up, and he even shadowed his dentist to understand what dentistry was all about. Afterward, he was hooked, and the rest is history.
Where Did You Study Dentistry?
As a native of Dallas, TX, Dr. Marino first attended the University of Texas at Austin before studying at the Baylor College of Dentistry for his dental degree. He later went on to complete a 2-year Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency at The University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio. There, he was able to receive additional training for various complex oral rehabilitation services, including microscope-facilitated root canal treatment, IV sedation, dentoalveolar surgery, and implant placement/restoration.

Outside of the Dental Office, What Do You Like to Do?
Whenever he isn’t at the office helping patients enhance and preserve their beautiful smiles, Dr. Marino enjoys various hobbies during his free time. These include watching and playing soccer every week, jamming out to his favorite music, and practicing drums ever since he was young. He also loves going to concerts in the Austin area with his girlfriend, and they like to try new restaurants and coffee shops every chance they get. One fun fact about him: he’s mildly ambidextrous and feels like he really should’ve been left-handed.
