Dr. Donald Taylor DDS
Following graduation from Southern Methodist University in 1974, Dr. Taylor entered the University of Illinois Dental College, where he graduated with his BS and DDS degrees. Upon graduation from Dental School in 1978, Dr. Taylor served 2 years in the Indian Health Service delivering dental care for Native Americans in Oklahoma and New Mexico. When he returned to his native Texas in 1982, he and his wife Nancy established the current dental practice here in Buda. While many things in the practice have evolved since then, one thing that remains the same is the authentic commitment that Dr. Taylor has for his patients’ well-being.
His continuous pursuit of professional growth has become a cornerstone of his practice. With over 1500 hours of Continuing Education, he has earned the Academy of General Dentistry Fellowship Award. He is also a graduate and mentor at the Kois Center for Excellence, a continuing education learning center dedicated to understanding complex dental problems. Dr. Taylor is a member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry as well. In 2011 and 2015, he was nominated for “Texas Dentist of the Year”, and has also been inducted into the International College of Dentists, an award that less than 2% of dentists ever receive. Most recently, he served as the 2014-2015 President of the Capital Area Dental Society. Dr. Taylor and his wife Nancy are enjoying being grandparents to their three grandchildren. They love to fish, spend time at the coast, and travel to different parts of the world.
