The utilization of modern technology plays a key role in our ability to meet our patients' needs and deliver superior quality dentistry. Not only is it vital for the technical aspect of what we do, but equally important in its ability to help us create dentistry tailored to the individual. This is where our standard of "Artistic Excellence" sets us apart. It's not only about the teeth, but also about how the teeth fit into the frame of the smile. Studying a person's facial proportions and their smile, combined with genuinely listening to what is important to them, can make all the difference. Staying current with today's technological advances is critical in our commitment not only to our patients, but to ourselves as a team. |

Digital Photography
We use 35mm digital photography and close-up intraoral camera photos to help our patients define what they want in a smile. Individuals are able to see themselves as the world sees them and help decide on changes in their smile they desire. We also work with a dental lab who can create a morphed image of a patient’s smile as it could be before any dental work is done. This allows patients to see what a new smile will look like!
Digital X-Rays
We use digital x-ray technology as a part of gathering the important data for diagnosis and treatment recommendations. These x-rays require 80% less radiation than conventional x-rays (less radiation is always more!) and are permanently stored in our patients’ digital chart.
Dental Magnification Loupes
The use of magnification in Dentistry provides increased image size and clarity, which improves visual acuity and results in more precise diagnosis and treatment. Our doctors are committed to delivering the best care for our patients, and the use of dental magnification is further evidence of this belief.
Continuing Education
In many offices, continuing education is viewed as a requirement for the maintenance of a license. Our feeling on this is just the opposite; we embrace any opportunity to learn. In fact, there is a true culture of learning at BDP that has become a guiding principle. Our core value of personal growth and learning is reflected in the way we view Continuing Education. Only by growing as individuals and as an organization can we truly achieve our aim of service to our patients in exceptional ways.
In our office we regularly attend continuing education both as individuals and as a group to continually evolve our expertise in technical dentistry, as well as in the behavioral science. Below are examples of monthly continuing education meetings attended by members of BDP, in addition to various individual courses taken throughout the year.
