COSMETIC DENTISTRY
People of all ages now have the opportunity to enhance the appearance of their smile through a wide range of procedures collectively referred to as “cosmetic dentistry”. There’s something to be said about the self-confidence that a healthy, radiant smile brings; and when people feel good about themselves, others sense it. How does your smile make you feel? Over the years, we have witnessed authentic transformations in the lives of our patients. Although we are whole-heartedly dedicated to precision technique and quality, the ultimate satisfaction in our work doesn’t come from how beautiful the teeth alone look in the end. Our fulfillment comes when we see a patient truly smile for the first time. That smile that radiates from the inside out is something that we are able to help people achieve, and THAT is what makes our day! It’s the weaving together of the authentic relationships and the artistic excellence that enables us to change people’s lives for the better.
Porcelain Veneers
Veneers are thin shells of porcelain that are bonded onto the front surfaces of the teeth. They are used to correct irregularities in the teeth, such as chips, discolorations, crowding or spacing, and can even alter the size of the teeth. Veneers require minimal reduction of tooth structure, and are therefore a safe, conservative way to improve one’s smile. Often times, Dr. Taylor or Dr. Strickland will ask the laboratory to use of model of the patient’s teeth and create a “wax-up”, which demonstrates the exact size and shape of the proposed veneers. This allows the patient to be involved in the planning of their smile and share any concerns prior to committing to treatment.
Teeth Whitening
Because teeth are porous, they are susceptible to stain over time. Teeth Whitening is a safe, effective way to enhance the appearance of your smile. It involves the application of a hydrogen-peroxide based material to the teeth, which travels inside the tooth to bleach the stained particles. We offer different methods of whitening, all of which lead to a brighter, more radiant smile.

Composite Fillings
When decay is removed from a tooth and the amount of remaining tooth structure is sufficient; a composite resin filling is often the treatment of choice. This type of filling is bonded to the tooth and comes in a variety of shades, in order to custom match the color of a one’s teeth. Compared to the traditional amalgam (silver) fillings, composites require less removal of tooth structure, are mercury-free, and look like a natural tooth. Additionally, composite bonding can be utilized to repair chipped teeth, re-shape teeth, and close small gaps. With good oral hygiene, a healthy diet, and regular dental care, composites can last for several years. |
