Dental bonding, also known as cosmetic, composite or tooth bonding is one of the easiest, fastest and most affordable dental treatments available to repair cosmetic and structural imperfections in the teeth. It is also a great treatment option for teens who are unhappy with the appearance of their smile; it is minimally invasive (often requires NO preparation of the teeth), cost-effective, and long lasting.

The bonding procedure takes about 30-60 minutes per tooth and can usually be completed in one office visit. Prior to the treatment date, you will sit down with the dentist and discuss what you find beautiful in a smile, and what your expectations are. Often times, the teeth can be altered on the model through the use of dental wax, and the patient can actually see what the bonded teeth will look like. On the day of the treatment, an application of a tooth-colored composite resin is placed onto the teeth, molded and smoothed to the desired shape and then bonded to the tooth with a special light. The procedure usually doesn’t require the use of an anesthetic, which is always a plus!
