Donald Taylor | DDS, FAGD

Don Taylor DDS, FAGDFollowing graduation from Southern Methodist University in 1974, Dr. Taylor entered the University of Illinois Dental College, where he graduated with his BS and DDS degrees. Upon graduation from Dental School in 1978, Dr. Taylor served 2 years in the Indian Health Service delivering dental care for Native Americans in Oklahoma and New Mexico. When he returned to his native Texas in 1982, he and his wife Nancy established the current dental practice here in Buda. While many things in the practice have evolved since then, one thing that remains the same is the authentic commitment that Dr. Taylor has for his patients’ well-being.

His continuous pursuit of professional growth has become a cornerstone of his practice. With over 1300 hours of Continuing Education, he has earned the Academy of General Dentistry Fellowship Award. He is also a graduate and mentor at the Kois Center for Excellence, a continuing education learning center dedicated to understanding complex dental problems. Dr. Taylor is a member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry. He has served his profession as the 2010-2011 President of the Central Texas Academy of General Dentistry, and is currently Treasurer of the Capital Area Dental Society. In 2011, Dr. Taylor was nominated for “Texas Dentist of the Year” Award. Dr. Taylor and his wife Nancy have two children, Lauren and Craig, who graduated from Texas Tech and Texas A&M respectively, and are now fully employed! In his free time, Dr. Taylor and Nancy love to fish.

Ashley Strickland | DDS

Ashley Strickland DDSDr. Strickland grew up in Round Rock and is the first in her family to enter the health care profession. After attending Texas Tech University, she was accepted to Dental School at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. In 2005, she graduated Magna Cum Laude, with high honors in research and teaching. After practicing in Austin for 2 years, Dr. Strickland began the search for the place to put down her roots, and found her home when she joined the Buda Dental team in 2007. Since that time, she has felt honored to have become part of such a wonderful community. It is her aim to treat every patient as she would want to be treated – with love, respect, and compassion. In addition to the relationships she forms with patients, Dr. Strickland’s commitment is equally evident in the level of quality care she delivers. She sets high priority in professional growth through education and involvement with organized dentistry.

Dr. Strickland is a member of the Academy of General Dentistry, and serves as a Board Member for its Central Texas branch. She was nominated by the Academy for “2010 Texas New Dentist of the Year”, and is also pursuing its Fellowship Award. Dr. Strickland is also a member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, and is active in local study clubs, which help her stay current on the latest advances in dentistry. Dr. Strickland lives in Kyle with her husband Kasey, and their children Eli and Hadley. In her free time she loves being with friends and family, working on projects around the house, and being involved with her church as a youth group leader.
